Writting english - Heremaia

One day on a sunny afternoon I was taking my dog Henry for a walk. The sky was clear and blue, and it was a calm day. Henry is a big, black, muscular pit bull with bright blue eyes. He was a birthday present from my family.
We were walking down an empty street. There was no one in sight, only Henry and I. A black van slowly drove past. It was going so slow that I could keep up with it. But then it turned down a street and I thought to myself 'that's a bit weird'. When I looked down the street, the black van was parked on the side of the road. A man got out of the van. He was slightly taller than me with such an angry expression on his face it gave me goosebumps.
After 10 minutes of walking, I turned right onto another street. As I was turning the corner Henry looked back making me turn around. My eyes opened wide as I saw the man from the van only 20 meters behind me. I spun around and increased my speed. When I was a quarter of the way down the street Henry looked back again. I didn't want to look because I was too scared to see the man. But couldn't resist, I just had to look. Trying not to make it obvious I pretended to drop something. Bending down, I took a quick peek behind me. I saw the man but he was closer than before, only 10 meters away.  I walked a bit faster trying to find a place where there were people. But I couldn't see anyone. I didn't have my phone on me either so I couldn't ring my dad to pick me up. I hadn't thought to take my phone with me when I left home.
Every instinct I had was screaming at me to run. I didn't know if Henry was going to run with me or if the man would chase me and catch up to me, but I knew I had to get away from the menacing stranger. I tightened my grip on Henry's leash and prepared to sprint away. Just then I felt heavy breathing on the back of my neck and an arm came around me from behind. A raspy voice demanded that I "hand over my wallet".
'Let me get it out of my pocket' I said, fearing for my life.
I was reaching for my wallet with shaking hands when Henry suddenly lunged at the man. Henry bit the attacker's arm putting his sturdy body between myself and the man. The man screamed in pain, shaking his arm loose and running away.
I quickly grabbed Henry and ran home where I saw my dad drinking his coffee on the front porch. I told him everything that had happened on my walk and he quickly called 111. The police came over and took statements while I showed them where the incident happened. A blood trail led to where the man's van had been parked, but it wasn't there anymore. The police took pictures and a sample of the man's blood then asked around for any witnesses.
The next day the police came back and told me that they had caught the man. They knew it was my attacker because he had a big bite on his arm. After the police left, I gave Henry a big bone for a treat.
